Our Human-Written Content Policy

We take creative and artistic integrity seriously. This page outlines what types of AI usage we allow and what types we do not.

How we Think About AI

AI is a Tool and Can be Used for Rote Tasks, but Not for Writing Content or Presented as Human-Written Content.

This is a rule we are very strict with. For the content created by, published on, or distributed through Howdy Curiosity, we expressly forbid the use of churning out AI-generated content in bulk.

To ensure that our content meets our readers' expectations and that we're being transparent in all things, we have defined use cases for when AI tools are appropriate to use and drawn hard lines around when they are not acceptable to use.

These rules apply to any content we create in-house or third-party submissions to our blog or community.

Permitted AI Use Cases

Within Inkwell Insights' podcast and newsletter, we allow the following AI use cases:

  1. Podcast episode transcription.
  2. Solving website coding issues (such as modifying embed codes or troubleshooting javascript matters).
  3. Analyzing analytics data.
  4. Identifying prospective podcast and newsletter guests.

Prohibited Use Cases

AI and ML tools are now allowed for the following use cases:

  1. Drafting content to be shared in either the newsletter or as part of a podcast script.
  2. Automating outreach or drafting emails to potential guests.

This is not an exhaustive list. The TL;DR is that if we publish something, it must be written by a human.
